U.S. President Donald Trump stressed in new remarks the need for Iran to refrain from imposing any fees on oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz, warning of the repercussions this would have on global energy movement.
He said: "Iran would be better off not charging fees to oil tankers that pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and if it is in fact doing so, it must stop immediately."
He added: "The flow of oil will begin very quickly, with or without Iran’s help."
He continued: "Because of me, Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and very soon you will see oil flowing, with or without Iran’s help."
