Britain: Diplomacy, support for the Lebanese Army, and ensuring navigation in Hormuz are pillars of stability

Jocelyn Vlahos, spokesperson for the British government in the Middle East and North Africa, said in an interview with Al Jadeed TV that her country sees diplomacy as “the only way” to achieve stability in the region.

Vlahos stressed that the Lebanese Army has an “essential role” in maintaining security and stability inside Lebanon, affirming the continuation of British support for the military institution and the ongoing strengthening of its capabilities.

She also noted that London is working closely with its partners to develop a plan aimed at ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, as part of efforts to bolster the region’s security.
