U.S. President Donald Trump announced during a press conference that Iran’s air force and navy had been neutralized, stating that many vessels were sunk and that air defense and radar systems had also been destroyed.
He added that efforts are underway to dismantle Iran’s infrastructure for producing missiles and drones, claiming that Iran now possesses far fewer missiles and that manufacturing facilities have been eliminated.
Trump also indicated that the war had continued at full intensity over the past few days, noting that more than 7,000 targets had been struck and that three additional missile and drone production sites were targeted earlier today.
He further stated that he has long criticized countries protected by the United States, saying that when Washington needs their assistance it often does not receive it. He urged nations that rely on oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz to provide support in order to keep the vital maritime route open.
