
The President of the Lebanese Pharmaceutical Importers and Warehouse Owners Association (LPIA), Joe Gharib, accompanied by the Head of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Dr. Bilal Abdullah, visited the Chairman of Middle East Airlines, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hout, to brief him on the needs of medicine importers amid Lebanon’s delicate current situation.
During the meeting, the importance of continuing the supply of medicines to Lebanon was emphasized to ensure market stability and meet the needs of Lebanese patients. Appreciation was extended to Mr. Al-Hout and Middle East Airlines for their significant efforts in maintaining Lebanon’s connection with the outside world, particularly by prioritizing the shipment of medicines on the airline’s flights.
The attendees affirmed that Middle East Airlines today constitutes a vital lifeline for supplying medicines to Lebanon, and that its role directly contributes to supporting pharmaceutical security and ensuring the continued availability of medicines in the Lebanese market.
The President of the Association also stressed the importance of continuing this collaboration in the interest of patients and to maintain the integrity of the medicine supply chain under all circumstances.
