
The launch conference of the 2026 Lebanon Flash Appeal was held this afternoon at the Grand Serail. The appeal aims to mobilize US$325 million to support Lebanon and constitutes an integrated framework for a coordinated response, while at the same time strengthening the national systems that will be needed during the crisis and in its aftermath.
The conference was held in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, ambassadors of donor countries, and representatives of international organizations and United Nations agencies.
Also in attendance were the ministers: Minister of Finance Yassine Jaber, Minister of Energy and Water Joe Saddi, Minister of Social Affairs Hanine El Sayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji, Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Bisat, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar, Minister of Education and Higher Education Rima Karami, Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny, Minister of Agriculture Nizar Hani, and Minister of Public Health Rakan Nassereddine.
