
The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reiterated its condemnation of the systematic Israeli attacks on the country’s health sector, stating that these attacks demonstrate Israel’s refusal to comply with international law and international humanitarian law regarding the protection of healthcare workers in conflict zones.
The ministry confirmed that it will continue its efforts to file cases before international courts against these violations, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding healthcare workers and ensuring their safety. It also extended its heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who sacrifice their lives in the service of humanitarian work.
The ministry’s statement read:
“We renew our condemnation of the systematic Israeli attacks on the health sector in Lebanon, which confirms that the Israeli enemy refuses to comply with what is stipulated in international law and international humanitarian law regarding the protection of healthcare workers in conflict zones.”
“The ministry continues its efforts to bring cases before international courts in this regard, while extending heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who give their lives in the service of humanitarian work.”
