Khamenei adviser: Trump is betraying diplomacy

An adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei accused U.S. President Donald Trump of “betraying diplomacy for the third time,” saying that the continuation of the naval blockade imposed on Iran and the presentation of what he described as “excessive” demands undermine the chances of reaching political understandings and obstruct the course of negotiations.

He stressed that these policies reflect a coercive approach that runs counter to diplomatic principles and peaceful solutions.
