Smuggled and Counterfeit Cigarettes, Molasses Tobacco, and Tombac Seized in Beirut Areas

Lebanon’s tobacco and tombac monopoly administration, Regie, announced that its anti-smuggling unit carried out a series of raids in several areas of Beirut, resulting in the seizure of quantities of smuggled electronic cigarettes, as well as counterfeit molasses tobacco, tombac, and cigarettes.

The operations covered Achrafieh, Mar Elias, Mazraa, Chiyah, and Ouzai, as part of ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and counterfeiting of tobacco products.

Regie said that violation reports were filed against the offenders and that the cases will be referred to the competent judiciary to pursue the necessary legal measures.
