MPs in the joint parliamentary committees were taken aback by the intervention of Free Patriotic Movement representative MP Georges Atallah during the session the day before yesterday, as he explicitly announced that the "Movement" opposes the general amnesty law, except for matters related to the file of Islamist detainees, whom he said had been subjected to an “injustice.”
