The Arabic-language spokesman for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, wrote on his account on the X platform:
“The IDF confirms: More than 250 Hezbollah operatives and commanders were eliminated in the largest strike in Lebanon, including dozens in Beirut.
Following continuous intelligence monitoring by the Military Intelligence Directorate since the major strike in Lebanon as part of Operation Roar of the Lion on April 8, 2026, the IDF confirms that the threshold of 250 terrorists eliminated has been surpassed in the strike that targeted Beirut, the Bekaa, and southern Lebanon.
These raids deliver a precise and extensive blow to the command-and-control systems of the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
The commanders eliminated in the strike were responsible for operating the organization’s overall systems, with a focus on firepower, intelligence, and defense capabilities, among them:
The so-called Hassan Mustafa Nasser — commander of Hezbollah’s logistics support staff, a veteran commander who was responsible for smuggling and storing weapons in Lebanon, and who was a central figure in attempts to rebuild the organization’s capabilities.
The so-called Ali Qassem, the so-called Abu Ali Abbas, and the so-called Ali Hijazi — senior commanders in Hezbollah’s intelligence unit, which is responsible for building an intelligence picture on the State of Israel, including preparing a target bank and gathering information.
The so-called Abu Mohammed Habib — deputy commander of Hezbollah’s rocket unit, who worked throughout the war, and particularly in Operation Arrows of the North, on launching rockets toward Israel, and recently led efforts to strengthen the rocket unit’s capabilities.
In addition to these, officials responsible for artillery and defense in various Hezbollah units were eliminated.
The process of counting the dead is still ongoing at this moment. The IDF will continue to act forcefully against the Hezbollah terrorist organization.”
