The Secretary-General of the Popular Nasserist Organization, MP Osama Saad, held a phone call with the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, to discuss the situation of displaced people who have not been provided with shelter, with some still remaining on the streets amid the current circumstances.
A statement issued by the Nasserist Organization’s office noted that Saad stressed “the alarming humanitarian situation faced by our displaced people,” underscoring “the urgent need for swift action to secure adequate reception centers that preserve their dignity and provide the minimum requirements for a decent life.”
For his part, Berri stated that he “will urgently follow up on the matter with the relevant authorities and work to take the necessary measures to secure suitable reception centers for our displaced people and alleviate their suffering during this sensitive phase.”
