President Joseph Aoun announced during his chairing of a security meeting:
The strict enforcement of the measures adopted by the Council of Ministers in Beirut, increasing the number of military and security forces deployed in the capital and across various Lebanese regions, and coordination among the security agencies so that their work is integrated in a way that serves the interests of citizens in general and the displaced in particular.
An emphasis on raiding locations housing weapons depots in light of information received by the relevant agencies, and showing no leniency in preventing armed displays by any party whatsoever.
No one is permitted to obstruct the implementation of the security measures or undermine security stability, because preserving civil peace at this stage in Lebanon’s history is a red line.
He also commended the field measures taken by the army to reopen roads, repair bridges, and facilitate the return of the displaced to their villages and towns under safe and stable conditions.
