Iranian Foreign Ministry: We demand Kuwait immediately release our citizens and reserve our right to respond

The Iranian foreign minister accused Kuwait of seizing an Iranian boat and detaining four Iranian citizens in Gulf waters, describing what happened as an “illegal assault.”

He explained that the incident occurred, according to him, near an island used by the United States to launch attacks on Iran, adding a sensitive dimension to the development.

The Iranian minister called on the Kuwaiti authorities to immediately release the detained citizens, stressing that his country reserves the right to respond to this action.
