Qatari authorities have announced the suspension of the visa-on-arrival system for citizens of the Lebanese Republic, requiring that every Lebanese traveler obtain a valid visa issued by Qatar prior to departure.
The relevant authorities clarified that travelers can apply for an electronic visa through the official platform (hayya.qa) and should ensure they carry a printed copy of the visa confirmation to present at border crossings.
The authorities did not specify the reasons behind this measure or the expected duration of its enforcement. Airlines and travel partners have been instructed to inform Lebanese passengers of this change before departure.
It is noted that this procedure applies to several countries, not Lebanon alone.
