Al-Hajjar chairs a meeting with governors to follow up on conditions in the governorates and displacement movements

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar held a meeting with the governors from the ministry’s central operations room, devoted to reviewing conditions across the various governorates in light of the latest developments and the displacement movement that accompanied them, particularly from Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Minister Al-Hajjar listened to a detailed presentation from the governors on the situation in their governorates, the measures taken, and the challenges they face. He also reviewed their needs and requirements to ensure the necessary state of readiness.

During the meeting, Al-Hajjar stressed the importance of permanent coordination between the governors, the security and military agencies, the relevant operations rooms, and the Disaster Management Unit at the Grand Serail, as well as the need to continuously monitor field conditions in a way that contributes to a rapid response to any emergency.
