Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote on the X platform: "On Labor Day, I address every female and male worker in Lebanon, those who rise every morning despite anxiety and hardship, and continue working under harsh conditions our country has never known before."
He added: "I realize the extent of the suffering many of you are enduring, from job losses and declining purchasing power to the daily pressure weighing on your shoulders. From my position of responsibility, I assure you that we will continue to work seriously to improve your living conditions, reclaim every inch of our occupied land, continue the path of reform, and revive the economy in a way that creates new job opportunities, restores stability, and puts the country on the path to genuine recovery."
