Iran has delivered its long-awaited response, composed of “10 points,” to the “15-point peace plan” proposed by the United States.
Iran’s 10-point plan includes the following:
Guarantee that Iran will not be subjected to any further attacks.
Achieve a permanent end to the war, not just a temporary ceasefire.
Halt Israeli strikes in Lebanon permanently.
Lift all U.S. sanctions on Iran.
End all combat operations in the region against Iran’s allies.
In return, Iran proposes the following measures:
Open the Strait of Hormuz..
Impose a transit fee of $2 million per ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Share these fees with the Sultanate of Oman.
Establish safe passage rules for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Use the revenue from the Strait of Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of compensation payments.
