The municipality of Jdeideh Marjeyoun issued the following statement:
“The municipality of Jdeideh Marjeyoun states that the measures outlined in its previous statement dated 12/3/2026, which was issued following the Israeli warning and call to evacuate the town of displaced persons and those from outside it, remain in effect. The municipality received a similar call today from the Israeli army, urging all displaced persons and those who are not residents of the town to leave, otherwise the entire town will be evacuated.
The call also warned that any passage or presence of Hezbollah members would expose the town to evacuation and danger. Accordingly, the municipality, with regret, calls on all concerned not to return to the town at the present time, and for those who have returned, to evacuate immediately, out of concern for their safety and the safety of the town’s residents.
While the municipality reiterates its regret at being compelled to take these measures, it stresses that they come within the framework of preserving public safety, and it is counting on everyone’s awareness, understanding, and readiness to shoulder responsibility at this delicate stage, thanking them for their customary cooperation.”
