The head of the Hotel Owners’ Syndicate, Pierre Achkar, said, “We have been through many crises, wars, and numerous security developments, but our sector has never experienced a war like this before.”
Achkar said in an interview with LBCI: “In Beirut and Mount Lebanon, hotel guests stayed only for a short period before moving to furnished apartments, which reduced the length of their stay in hotels.”
He added: “We are no longer able to bear the burdens, and we aspire to stability like the surrounding countries, as compensating for losses remains tied to the availability of lasting stability.”
