Al-Hajjar chairs a meeting with governors: Administrative and security coordination to keep pace with challenges and bolster municipalities’ resilience

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar held a meeting in his office this afternoon with the governors, devoted to discussing the administrative, developmental, and security files related to the work of the governorates, and to following up on citizens’ affairs under the current circumstances.

The meeting included a comprehensive review of the general situation across the various regions, with each governor presenting a detailed assessment of conditions in his governorate, particularly in light of the repercussions of the displacement resulting from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon.

Those present stressed the importance of strengthening coordination among local administrations to ensure the smooth functioning of work and a rapid response to citizens’ needs amid mounting challenges.

For his part, Minister Al-Hajjar underscored the need to continue working in a spirit of responsibility and cooperation among the various concerned parties, noting that the Interior Ministry is following up with the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Finance on efforts to secure the necessary support for municipalities, enabling them to continue carrying out their duties, especially with regard to serving the displaced and host communities.
