Gemayel and Al-Hazzaa discuss ways to strengthen Lebanese-Syrian relations and prospects for bilateral cooperation

Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel received at the party’s central headquarters in Saifi the chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in Lebanon, Iyad Al-Hazzaa, on a courtesy visit, during which they reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Lebanon and Syria and the prospects for the coming phase.

Also attending the meeting were MP Elias Hankach, Political Bureau member Joelle Bou Abboud, and lawyer Jimmy Francis.

During the meeting, Gemayel stressed the need to rebuild sound political, economic, and diplomatic relations between the two countries and to engage positively with the new Syrian leadership in a way that helps complete and strengthen bilateral ties in the interest of the Lebanese and Syrian peoples.
