The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
"As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to curb theft operations across various Lebanese regions, the Information Branch obtained information about the activity of unidentified individuals carrying out thefts by breaking and entering homes and commercial shops in Mount Lebanon. The latest of these was the theft of antiques from a shop designated for the manufacture of statues and antiques in the Dora area on 29-4-2026.
As a result, the branch’s specialized units launched field and intelligence measures to identify and arrest the members of the theft gang. Following investigations and inquiries, the branch was able within hours to determine their identities. They are:
– Sh. I. (born in 2014, Lebanese)
– M. H. (approximately 17 years old, Syrian)
– H. A. (born in 2011, Syrian).
On the same date, after a precise surveillance and monitoring operation, one of the branch’s patrols succeeded in arresting them in the Nabaa area. A search of them led to the seizure of some copper utensils in their possession.
During interrogation, they confessed to the acts attributed to them, namely carrying out numerous thefts by breaking and entering, including the aforementioned operation in the Dora area, and that they had sold a large quantity of the stolen items at a junkyard in the Nabaa area in exchange for a sum of money.
The necessary legal measures were taken against them, and they were handed over, along with the seized items, to the concerned unit, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary."
