Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received a phone call from Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, during which he expressed solidarity with the Lebanese people amid these difficult circumstances.
Prime Minister Ibrahim noted that he had also been in contact with his Pakistani counterpart, who is acting as a mediator between the United States and Iran, emphasizing that ceasefire efforts should include Lebanon.
For his part, Prime Minister Salam briefed his Malaysian counterpart on the Israeli escalation and the growing humanitarian needs, expressing gratitude for Malaysia’s support and stressing that Lebanon should not remain a battleground for the conflicts of others.
