
Qatar’s foreign minister affirmed that the visit of his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, comes within the framework of ongoing consultations between the two countries, amid the critical circumstances facing the region.
He noted that the economic impact of the war on the Gulf states was discussed, pointing out that the current phase requires broad coordination among brotherly and friendly countries to confront the present challenges.
The minister stressed the continuation of coordination with the GCC states and regional countries with the aim of reaching the best possible formulas to restore stability to the region.
He also announced that Qatar and Turkey support Pakistani efforts and mediation aimed at finding a solution that ends the war and helps reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
