U.S. President Donald Trump affirmed that Washington is pressing ahead with preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, considering it “a matter of time” amid mounting pressure imposed on Tehran.
Trump indicated that the U.S. administration expects further deterioration in the Iranian economy as a result of pressure linked to the blockade of ports and economic isolation, noting that this conflict “will be settled without haste.”
He added that recent U.S. strikes have significantly weakened Iran’s military leadership and capabilities, while at the same time confirming the continuation of direct contacts with Iranian officials, stressing that the United States is in no rush to reach an agreement.
He also expressed confidence that Iran would abandon any efforts related to building a nuclear weapon, saying that his country “will not rush any step concerning Iran,” and adding: “We will get 100% of Iran’s nuclear dust.”
