Elon Musk among the delegation accompanying Trump in Beijing

U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in the Chinese capital, Beijing, on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on key issues including the war with Iran, trade relations between the two countries, as well as U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.

Accompanying Trump on this visit is billionaire businessman Elon Musk, as part of an expanded U.S. delegation that includes economic and political figures.

The visit carries notable significance as it is the first by a U.S. president to Beijing since November 2017, bringing relations between Washington and Beijing back to the forefront of the international scene amid escalating trade, technological, and geopolitical tensions between the world’s two largest economies, and renewed efforts to reset the course of ties between the two sides.
