On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Ministry of State for Administrative Development extends its greetings to every displaced family and to every household that has opened its doors in solidarity with our people.
In this context, the Minister of State for Administrative Development, Dr. Fadi Makki, conducted a field tour of several shelter centers in Batroun, Jbeil, and Ghazir. During his visit, he reviewed the conditions of displaced families and listened to their needs and the daily challenges they face.
Minister Makki emphasized that efforts are ongoing, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to improve the response and meet needs in a way that preserves the dignity of our people and strengthens their resilience during this critical phase.
Observations focused on the need to ensure the continuity of essential services, particularly in the areas of electricity, healthcare, and the provision of basic necessities for families and children, amid increasing pressure on shelter centers.
In Batroun, the Minister reviewed all services available at the shelter center, in the presence of the school principal, Mr. Youssef Hanna, Ms. Josée Abi Khalil representing the Ministry of Social Affairs within the Disaster Management Coordination Committee in Batroun district, and the joint crisis cell between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs, as is the case in all centers.
Children were also given symbolic gifts to share in the joy of Eid, in an effort to bring some happiness despite the difficult circumstances.
Minister Makki affirmed that the Lebanese state, through all its institutions, remains committed to ensuring the safe return of every displaced person to their home and to restoring every inch of our land.
