U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed in a call with Axios that the war with Iran will end soon, stating that “there is practically nothing left to target”, and noting that there are only “some minor issues” remaining. He emphasized that he could end the war whenever he wished.
Trump added that “the war is going well” and that the United States is “far ahead of schedule”, noting that the U.S. military has inflicted more damage than expected during the first six weeks of operations. He accused Iran of hostility extending beyond Israel and the United States to include Gulf countries, saying that Tehran “is paying the price for 47 years of death and destruction.”
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that “the operation against Iran will continue with no time limit” until all objectives are achieved and decisive victory is secured, adding that the goal is “to enable the Iranian people to rise up and overthrow the regime.”
U.S. Central Command leader Brad Cooper confirmed that “the U.S. military has targeted more than 5,500 sites inside Iran since the start of the war, including over 60 ships,” noting that “Iranian attacks are declining” and that U.S. combat capability is increasing while Iran’s is diminishing.
He also accused Iranian forces of “deliberately targeting innocent civilians in the Gulf” and launching attacks from densely populated cities.
In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the launch of the 37th wave of “Vowed Promise 4”, which lasted more than three hours, using the largest number of heavy Khorramshahr missiles ever deployed in a multi-layered strike against U.S. and Israeli bases, signaling Iran’s continued capability and willingness to escalate.
