
Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rassamni continued his diplomatic and development outreach, meeting in his office at the ministry with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Sultan Al-Sharji, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries amid developments on the Lebanese and regional scenes.
The meeting addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, in addition to files reflecting the depth of the fraternal ties between Beirut and Kuwait. Rassamni stressed the importance of Kuwait’s continued support for Lebanon, praising Kuwait’s standing by the Lebanese people, especially during the difficult stages and circumstances the country has gone through.
Minister Rassamni wished Ambassador Al-Sharji success in his new diplomatic duties, affirming that continued communication between the two countries constitutes a fundamental pillar for enhancing cooperation and developing shared relations.
For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador affirmed the strength of Lebanese-Kuwaiti ties, stressing his country’s keenness to continue coordination and cooperation in a way that serves the shared interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
In a related context, Rassamni received the former head of the International Organization for Migration office in Lebanon, Matthew Luciano, on a farewell visit marking the end of his tenure. The minister praised the efforts he made during his time in office and wished him success in his next steps.
Rassamni also stressed the importance of continuing cooperation with the International Organization for Migration on shared files, in a way that strengthens the existing partnership between the ministry and the organization across various relevant fields.
