President General Joseph Aoun said that targeting the heads of Christian and Muslim sects and spiritual authorities in Lebanon is a condemned and unacceptable act, given that spiritual leaders embody values that go beyond the religious dimension and touch on the national one. Therefore, everyone must refrain from undermining these values, which embody the unity of Lebanon and its people, especially since the applicable laws prohibit such offenses and punish those responsible.
President Aoun called on الجميع to keep differences in viewpoints within their political framework and to rise above personal insults, given the negative repercussions of such practices, particularly under the current circumstances the country is going through, which require broad national solidarity.
