The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, held a trilateral phone call with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa and French President Emmanuel Macron, during which they discussed the current situation in Lebanon and the region in light of the rapidly evolving security developments.
The three leaders addressed the ongoing escalation and its implications for regional stability, assessing the latest developments and exchanging views on ways to follow up on the current phase.
At the end of the call, Aoun, Al-Sharaa and Macron agreed to keep communication channels open in order to monitor developments and continue consultations regarding emerging developments.
