Iran’s Foreign Ministry has escalated its rhetoric toward the United States and Israel in what was seen as its sharpest stance in recent months, accusing them of being responsible for worsening regional conditions and pushing toward greater international tension, without naming them directly.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said in a statement posted on the platform X that the world is going through what he described as a “dangerous” phase marked by turmoil and attempts to impose submission, arguing that what is taking place between Iran on one side and the United States and Israel on the other reflects a “struggle between the forces of good and evil.”
The statement added that “Washington and Tel Aviv launched an aggressive war on February 28, 2026, for the second time in less than a year,” despite the continuation of diplomatic tracks and negotiations between Tehran and Washington during that period.
The spokesman concluded by stressing that “silence in such circumstances amounts to complicity,” calling on countries and forces opposed to hegemony to take clear and swift positions before the world slides into further chaos and instability.
