Abu Dhabi Media Office: Fire caused by a drone strike near the Barakah nuclear power plant with no radiological effects

The Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that the relevant authorities dealt with a fire that broke out in an electrical generator located outside the perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, confirming that the incident has been brought under control.

The office explained that the fire resulted from a drone strike, noting that no injuries or human casualties were recorded and that there was no impact on radiation safety levels in the area.

In the same context, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation confirmed that the incident did not affect the safety of the plant or its operating systems, and that the situation is fully under control.
