Washington extends the framework for de-escalation between Lebanon and Israel and sets early June as the date for resuming negotiations

The U.S. State Department announced the extension of the agreement to halt hostilities between Lebanon and Israel for an additional 45 days, to allow room for further progress on the negotiating track.

The State Department confirmed that political negotiations will resume on June 2 and 3, as part of ongoing efforts to continue discussions on outstanding issues and consolidate the existing understandings.
