Youssef Rajji, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, received a phone call from Radek Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Polish Foreign Minister, during which they discussed the latest security developments in Lebanon amid the continued Israeli attacks on a number of areas.
Sikorski stressed “his country’s full support for Lebanon and its people,” affirming “Poland’s firm rejection of any attempt aimed at changing the internationally recognized borders or seizing any part of Lebanese territory.”
For his part, Rajji pointed out that “the Lebanese state has made its decision to engage in direct negotiations with the aim of reaching a permanent ceasefire and ensuring a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.”
The call also addressed “the phase following the end of the UNIFIL mission and the mechanisms of the proposed alternative arrangement,” with Rajji thanking Poland for its active contribution to the international peacekeeping forces.
