Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the summoning of the Iraqi ambassador in Kuwait and the delivery of a second official protest note, in response to continued attacks originating from Iraqi territory toward Kuwait.
In an official statement, the ministry described these incidents as a direct violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a threat to its national security, urging Iraqi authorities to take immediate and decisive measures to prevent further breaches and safeguard regional stability.
In a related context, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah stressed that past experiences have demonstrated the limited effectiveness of joint Arab action, calling for a comprehensive review and restructuring of the Arab League mechanisms to better address current challenges.
