Baabda Palace witnessed a series of meetings during which President General Joseph Aoun followed up on the security situation and movement at border crossings and public facilities.
In this context, President Aoun was briefed by Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny on the ministry’s work under the current circumstances, particularly traffic at Rafik Hariri International Airport and the ports of Beirut and Tripoli, as well as the measures taken to ensure the continued operation of maritime and air facilities.
The President also reviewed with Director-General of General Security Major General Hassan Choucair the general situation in the country and the work of General Security, within the framework of measures taken to preserve security and stability, in addition to movement at land, air, and sea crossings and the procedures adopted to ensure their normal flow continues.
President Aoun also received Acting Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation Judge Pierre Francis on the occasion of his assumption of office.
