
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday received UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the city of El Alamein during a fraternal visit that reflected the depth of the historic relations and strong ties between the two countries.
The meeting addressed the latest developments in the Middle East, with both sides stressing the importance of continued coordination and consultation between Cairo and Abu Dhabi, and of strengthening joint efforts to contain regional tensions and prevent the region from sliding into further escalation.
President El-Sisi underscored the special standing enjoyed by the UAE and its leadership in the eyes of Egypt and its people, affirming the strength of bilateral relations and the breadth of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome, praising the deep fraternal and historic bonds linking the leaderships and peoples of Egypt and the UAE, and affirming continued joint action in support of the region’s security and stability.
