“We welcome the decision regarding the Iranian ambassador, which we have long called for, given Iran’s role in turning Lebanon into a military arena and involving it in a war unrelated to the Lebanese people.
The decision to open the front and drag Lebanon into war is an Iranian decision, and Lebanon is paying today in terms of destruction and losses.
We emphasized to His Excellency the President the necessity of deploying the Lebanese Army and security forces extensively across all areas to reassure citizens.
The issue is not sectarian or among Lebanese citizens, but between the Lebanese state and Hezbollah, which makes decisions outside the state’s framework.
Refugees are victims of this war and must be supported and protected, away from any sectarian or discriminatory logic.”
