The Secretary-General of Catholic Schools, Father Youssef Nasr, announced in an interview with LBCI on Saturday that “a certificate is far better than an attestation, and Education Minister Rima Karami proceeded from a study whose findings showed that 90% of schools have completed the curriculum to varying degrees, and we can rely on a common baseline to enable students to sit the official examinations.”
He pointed out that “the differing circumstances between affected and unsafe areas were taken into account, and questions are still being followed up regarding the fate of students in the southern border areas within the Yellow Line, as well as the methods of delivering and collecting exam papers amid restrictions on entry and exit.”
He said that “a number of public schools are still accommodating displaced people, and we ask the private sector to cooperate in completing the certification process.”
