
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during his meeting with his Chinese counterpart, affirmed that relations between Tehran and Beijing are entering a stronger phase amid current developments, describing China as Iran’s “close friend” and stressing that the level of cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened in the coming period.
Araghchi praised China’s stance toward the escalation in the region, saying that Beijing had taken a firm position by condemning the United States and Israel, and emphasizing that the region is passing through an extremely sensitive turning point that requires intensified direct meetings and political coordination among the various parties.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed that reaching a complete ceasefire represents an essential and indispensable step to reduce tensions, announcing his country’s readiness to continue political and diplomatic efforts aimed at calming the situation and preventing the escalation from widening.
