News circulated on websites claiming that official bodies had been informed of an inability to continue providing breakfast meals to displaced families in shelters in Lebanon after the middle of the month, and that food aid provided by associations and international food organizations would be limited to a single lunch meal instead of breakfast and lunch.
In this context, the National News Agency clarified that, following verification with the Ministry of Social Affairs, it was found that the ministry, in cooperation with international organizations, has been committed since the start of the war—and continues to be—to providing a daily lunch meal for the displaced, in addition to specific food rations that include canned goods and other basic necessities. As for breakfast and dinner meals, they are being provided through private associations and individual initiatives.
