Following official talks in Moscow, Sergei Lavrov and his Libyan counterpart, Abdul Hadi Al-Baour, held a joint press conference addressing the main bilateral issues and regional developments, particularly with regard to cooperation between Moscow and Tripoli, in addition to security issues in the Gulf region.
Lavrov said: The work of the joint intergovernmental committee between Russia and Libya will be resumed.
Efforts have been made for years in political and diplomatic circles to implement the security initiative in the Gulf region, and we believe that recent events call for normalizing relations in this region.
