
Cairo stressed the need to preserve the ceasefire agreement and work to sustain it in a way that paves the way for ending the war, underscoring the importance of intensifying coordination and consultations among the various concerned parties.
In this context, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held two phone calls with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which full commitment to the diplomatic track as the primary option for resolving the crisis was reaffirmed.
Abdelatty also pointed out that achieving lasting regional stability requires respect for the sovereignty of states and taking into account the security concerns of the countries of the region, particularly the Gulf states, in addition to the need to safeguard the security and freedom of international navigation.
