
Sources in the Syrian Interior Ministry reported that a car driver was killed after an explosive device detonated inside his vehicle on the Damascus–Sweida road, after he had left the city of Sweida in southern Syria.
According to the source, preliminary investigations showed that the device was inside the car, amid indications that the driver was attempting to use it to carry out an act aimed at undermining security and stability and disrupting civilian movement on the road.
The Internal Security Forces confirmed that they had begun cordoning off the scene and collecting the necessary forensic evidence, while investigations continue to uncover the details of the incident and identify the entities or parties linked to it.
