Tehran announced that it had delivered, through the Pakistani mediator, what it described as the "final plan" aimed at ending the war with the United States and Israel, while at the same time affirming its readiness to deal with various political and military scenarios.
Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, said during a meeting with ambassadors and heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Tehran:
"The Islamic Republic of Iran has presented its plan, which aims to definitively end the imposed war, to Pakistan as a mediator. The ball is now in the United States' court to choose the path of diplomacy or continue along the confrontational approach."
He added that "Iran is fully prepared to repel any aggression against its country and its people, and Tehran has always believed in diplomacy based on interests to resolve the existing issues, and it has played its role in this regard."
Gharibabadi also expressed his country's readiness for both tracks to safeguard its interests and national security, adding that it "will, in all circumstances, remain committed to its pessimism and distrust of the United States, and of its integrity in the diplomatic process."
