Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stressed the need to carry out a set of preliminary steps before launching any negotiating track, in light of the current regional developments.
He wrote on his account on the platform X:
"Two of the measures that were mutually agreed upon by the parties have not yet been implemented:
A ceasefire in Lebanon, and the release of frozen Iranian assets before the start of negotiations.
These two matters must be carried out before negotiations begin."
