In light of the accelerating regional and international challenges, and the rising tensions and conflicts in the Middle East, we affirm that the current stage requires an approach based on wisdom, balance, and political responsibility.
Iraq, with its historical significance and strategic location, stands today at a genuine opportunity to serve as a source of stability and a hub for communication in the region, rather than a field for conflict or the settling of disputes. We stress that safeguarding Iraq’s sovereignty and strengthening its national institutions are priorities that cannot be compromised.
In this context, we emphasize that the path of dialogue and diplomacy remains the only way to avoid further escalation and destruction. Security cannot be achieved through means that fuel violence, nor can stability be built through policies based on continuous confrontation.
From this standpoint, we affirm that achieving peace cannot be accomplished through tools of destruction, but rather through a comprehensive vision grounded in understanding, mutual respect, and regional cooperation.
At a time when Iraq is witnessing rapid progress in reconstruction and development projects, we stress that real development is not measured solely by the scale of infrastructure, but by its direct impact on improving the lives and living conditions of citizens.
Large segments of society continue to face difficult economic challenges, as many suffer from limited job opportunities and rising living costs. This has led some to migrate in search of stability and dignity, creating a human drain that affects the country’s future and social stability.
We also note with concern the widening gap between social classes, along with increasing pressure on the most vulnerable groups, which calls for more balanced and equitable policies to address these challenges.
In this regard, we affirm that social justice and equal opportunity must be at the core of any national project.
Supporting vulnerable groups, creating real employment opportunities, and achieving balanced development are essential steps toward building a strong and stable state.
At the same time, preserving Iraq’s religious and cultural diversity remains a major national responsibility, particularly in light of the noticeable decline in some historic communities, especially the Christian community, which represents an integral part of Iraq’s identity and history.
Addressing extremism also requires an approach based on promoting moderation and strengthening the values of citizenship, ensuring that the state remains an inclusive framework for all its people without discrimination.
On the political level, we look forward to the coming phase as an opportunity to strengthen the democratic process and reinforce the principles of transparency and integrity in elections. Ensuring elections that meet the highest standards of credibility and trust is essential to enhancing stability and strengthening the relationship between the state and its citizens.
Improving government performance in the next phase, and reinforcing merit-based appointments within state institutions, are also key pillars for building a modern and effective administration capable of meeting citizens’ aspirations.
Building trust requires continued improvement in institutional performance, and the consolidation of justice and equal opportunity, ensuring a more stable and balanced political future.
From this perspective, the coming phase represents a real opportunity to advance reform and support a more mature democratic path that aligns with the aspirations of the Iraqi people and reflects their ambition for a strong and just state.
We call upon the international community, particularly influential actors, to support de-escalation efforts, respect state sovereignty, and strengthen partnerships that contribute to stability and prosperity.
The Middle East, with Iraq at its heart, deserves a future based on dialogue, openness, and integration—not conflict and division.
