The Fadlallah Foundation announces the start of Dhu al-Hijjah and sets Eid al-Adha for May 27

The Sharia Office of the "Foundation of the Grand Marja, Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah" announced in a statement that "the first day of the sacred month of Dhu al-Hijjah for the year 1447 AH will be next Monday, May 18, based on his eminence’s jurisprudential approach of relying on precise astronomical calculations together with the possibility of sighting. Accordingly, blessed Eid al-Adha will fall on Wednesday, May 27."
