Iran’s Fars News Agency revealed on Sunday a list of five conditions attributed to the United States for starting negotiations with Iran, مقابل five Iranian demands described as aimed at building confidence with the American side, according to Sky News Arabia.
The U.S. conditions include the following:
- “The United States will not provide any compensation or damages to the Iranian side.
- Withdraw and transfer 400 kilograms of uranium from Iran to the United States.
- Allow only one nuclear facility to remain operational inside Iran.
- Do not release 25 percent of Iran’s frozen assets.
- Link the start of negotiations to the cessation of the war on all fronts.”
The report noted that “even if Iran complies with these conditions, the risk of escalation or aggression by the United States and Israel will remain.”
As for the Iranian demands, according to Fars, they are as follows:
- “End the war on the various fronts, especially in Lebanon.
- Lift the sanctions imposed on Iran.
- Release Iran’s frozen funds.
- Compensate for the damage resulting from the war.
- Recognize Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.”
